I'm at a critical point where I have stick to my principles and do a proper turn-based roguelike and wedge turn-based mechanics on top of Godot's game loop which I want for animation and smooth movement, or go roguelite and make it continuous action. Or maybe a SuperHot-like compromise? You can take your time looking around, but as soon as you start moving they come for you.
